​​Douglas Hubscher is the Founder and President of Kids Are First, LLC, a special education advocacy firm dedicated to helping families navigate the IEP and 504 process with confidence, clarity, and support.

 

Through both in-person and virtual appointments, Doug works collaboratively with families and schools to help students receive the services, accommodations, and educational opportunities they need to succeed.

 

With more than 17 years of experience as a teacher and administrator, Doug understands both the educational system and the challenges families often face when advocating for their children. His collaborative, student-centered approach focuses on building strong partnerships that honor each child’s unique strengths, needs, and potential.

 

Doug earned advanced degrees in education and special education and pursued studies in Education Law to strengthen his ability to advocate effectively for children and families. He is passionate about ensuring every child is understood, supported, and given the opportunity to thrive.
